Official IELTS test centre

We have run IELTS since November 2025, at centres in Zagreb, Split and Ljubljana. On the official list of IELTS centres we appear under the name “British Council, Jantar - International House Split”, together with the name of the location, and our centres in Zagreb and Ljubljana are on the list of locations approved by the UK government for IELTS for UKVI.

Bookings and payments go through the British Council’s system, and the test is run under the rules of the IELTS partners: the British Council, IDP IELTS and Cambridge University Press & Assessment.

The school behind the centre

Jantar is a language school from Split and a member of the international network International House. Alongside IELTS we also run an authorised Cambridge exam centre: ispiti.org.

The school also offers preparation for IELTS. Preparation and the test are separate: attending preparation, with us or elsewhere, is not a condition of booking the test.

Where IELTS is taken in Croatia

According to the official list on ielts.org, IELTS is taken at two centres in Croatia, in Zagreb and in Split. Both are ours. In Slovenia the list shows one centre, ours in Ljubljana, for IELTS for UKVI.
