These are the fees the British Council’s booking site showed on 13 October 2026. You pay by card when you book.
What your booking includes
- A place on the test on the date and at the centre you choose.
- Access to the IELTS Ready Premium preparation materials, which the British Council gives to test takers who book with it.
- Your result on the Test Taker Portal, and the option of sending it to organisations from there.
Changing your date and cancelling
Under the British Council’s rules, you can change your date once, if you ask more than 14 days before the test; the new date must be within three months, and the centre may charge a fee of up to 25% of the test fee. If you cancel, the refund depends on how far ahead you cancel. For the exact terms, write to us before you do anything. Why do I see fewer dates for Split than for Zagreb?
We show the dates that were published on the British Council’s booking site on the day given beside the list. If you do not see a date here that suits you, look at the booking site or write to us.
Can I pay by bank transfer or in instalments?
The test is paid for by card, when you book on the British Council’s site. If the payment does not go through, get in touch.
How much does One Skill Retake cost?
The British Council shows the fee when you book. It has not published it on its pages for Croatia, so we do not give it here.
